It's Time to Book Your High School Class of 2024 Session!

Updated: Jun 5, 2023

Attention parents of high school seniors! It's never too early to start planning for your student's senior photo session. In fact, it's a good idea to book your session as soon as possible, especially if you want to secure a date between June and October, which tends to be the most popular time for senior sessions.

The earlier you book, the more likely you'll be able to secure your preferred date.

One thing that many parents of first-time seniors don't realize is that a submission for the yearbook is due as soon as the first month or two of the school year. This means that if you wait too long to schedule your senior session, you may miss the deadline for yearbook submission. Don't let this happen to you!

At LaVoie Photography, we understand the importance of capturing this milestone moment in your student's life. That's why we offer a variety of options to ensure that your senior has the experience they love. Whether you already have a clear idea of what you want or need suggestions and ideas, we're here to help you every step of the way.

To help you prepare for your senior session, we've put together a few tips for a successful photoshoot:

  1. Plan ahead - Choose a date that works best for you and your senior. This will give you plenty of time to prepare and avoid any last-minute stress.

  2. Coordinate outfits - Choose outfits that complement your senior's personality and style. Consider the location and the season when choosing clothing.

  3. Get hair and makeup done - Consider hiring a professional to do your senior's hair and makeup for the shoot. This will ensure that they look their best and feel confident in front of the camera. We have a wonderful hair and makeup artist we work with often.

  4. Choose a location - Choose a location that is meaningful to your senior or reflects their interests. Alternatively, choose a location that offers a variety of backgrounds and settings for a more dynamic photoshoot. Don't worry, we have lots of favorite suggestions.

  5. Have fun - Finally, remember that this is a special moment in your senior's life. Encourage them to relax, have fun, and be themselves during the shoot. The more comfortable and relaxed they feel, the better the photos will turn out.

Don't wait until the last minute to schedule your senior session.
